On Tuesday the 19th of March 2013, DRI Malaysia held it’s annual Members Get Together Activities (MGTA). The topic was Sharing and Exchange Ideas on BCM, ERM & DRP. Among the guests were our members, special invitees and members cum speakers : Encik Wahid Khalil, Chief Risk Officer of Bank Islam; Puan Zalina Jaflus, CBCP, Head of BCM in Malaysia Airports and Mr Stanley Chan, Senior Consultant of Hewlett Packard. The event started with Carol Chia presented DRI’s latest news, certification statistics and activities followed by Encik Wahid Khalil, one of our famous and respected trainers and speakers, shared the topic on “Mapping ISO 22301 to DRI’s 10 Professional Practices”. He explained how this ISO standard matches with the 10 practices of DRI’s. Puan Zalina Jaflus, CBCP, was so kind to show clear real-life cases of Business Continuity Recovery Strategies that she had applied at her working environment, the topic of her presentation was “BCM as part of ERM.”
“Elevate Business and IT Continuity while reducing Risk & Cost” was the topic of Mr Stanley Chan during the MGTA. In this he explained how technology especially HP SANOVI could help reducing cost by not compromising RTO and data loss. At the end of the event there were lucky draws where five lucky members won two complimentary DRI KL 2013 conference tickets and three external hard drives as follows :
1) The lucky winners of the two conference tickets sponsored by DRI Malaysia were:

The event provided a great platform for members and industry practitioner to share, learn and update on current issues and practices on BCM, ERM and DRP. It ended with a great success and members were looking forward to our next MGTA.
