Winners of DRI KL2014 Awards of Excellence

DRI Malaysia is pleased to announce the winners of DRI KL2014 Awards of Excellence are as follows:-
Winner: Noor Faizah binti Jamaluddin, ABCP – Agro Bank

Presenter: Encik Mahdi Ariffin, CBCP – Panel of Judges of DRI KL2014 Awards of Excellence

Noor Faizah Jamaluddin has been attached with Agrobank for 3 years. She is attached to Business Continuity Management since the beginning and pioneer to implement BCM in Agrobank. She has joined forces to conduct various BCM training exercises which includes Crisis Simulation Exercise in 2012, 2013 and 2014
Winner: Hairul Affandy bin Ismail – Malaysia Building Society Berhad (MBSB)

Presenter: Encik Mahdi Ariffin, CBCP – Panel of Judges of DRI KL2014 Awards of Excellence

Hairul is currently managing Operational Risk Management unit for Malaysia Building Society Berhad (MBSB). He serves as the organization’s BCM and operational risk management manager. He has initiated BCM framework to the organization in mid-2013, conducted risk assessment analysis and BIA exercise and many more
Winner: Ahmad Razif Shazi Shaarani – Themed Attractions Malaysia

Presenter: Encik Mahdi Ariffin, CBCP – Panel of Judges of DRI KL2014 Awards of Excellence

Ahmad Razif Shazi has more than 12-years’ experience in Internal Audit and Risk Management. He is currently attached with Themed Attractions & Resorts, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional Berhad that develops and operates international & local brand theme parks such as Legoland, Kidzania, Hello Kitty Town & Lat Kampung Boy focusing mainly on ERM & BCM
Winner: Shahrome bin Ibrahim, ABCP – MyClear

Presenter: Encik Wahid Ali Mohd Khalil, Panel of Judges of DRI KL2014 Awards of Excellence

Shahrome is currently the Business Continuity Manager at Malaysian Electronic Clearing Corporation (MyClear). Overall, he has more than 9 years of experiences in risk management with specialization in business continuity. His BCM experience cover various industries such as banking, broadcasting and national e-Clearing corporation.
Winner: Salwani binti Abdul Rahman, ABCP – Permodalan National Berhad (PNB)

Presenter: Encik Wahid Ali Mohd Khalil, Panel of Judges of DRI KL2014 Awards of Excellence

Salwani is an experience BCM practitioner and has been exclusively involve with the BCM Program for PNB Group. She is well versed with all of the BCM program activities and is one of the main contact person of the BCM program for PNB group.
Winner: Kavitha Muthy, MBCP – Heitech Padu Berhad

Presenter: Carol Chia, CBCP – DRI KL2014 Chairperson & DRI Malaysia Program Director

Kavitha Muthy holds a Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP). She is currently heading the BCP & DRP Consultancy Services Unit in HeiTech Managed Services. She provides premium consultation and advisory services for customer in the area of Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Information Security with an independent approach based on industry best practices. Kavitha is also the winner of DRIKL2013, Industry BCM Newcomer of the Year of year 2013
Winner: Firhan Fikri Hadenan, CBCP – Maybank

Presenter: Carol Chia, CBCP – DRI KL2014 Chairperson & DRI Malaysia Program Director

Firhan currently leads the BCM Governance & Oversight section within Maybank’s Group Business Continuity Management (GBCM) department. Firhan has 8 years’ experience in implementing and managing BCM programmes, both within Maybank Group and with his previous role as a BCM consultant. Firhan has facilitated BCM exercises and activations throughout all levels of Maybank Group, both local and regionally.
Winner: Neyaz Mushtaq Ahmed, CBCP – Etihad Etisalat Co. Mobily (Saudi Arabia)

Presenter: Gary Villeneuve, MBCP – Director of Education of DRI International

Neyaz Ahmed is the Director for Business Continuity at Etihad Etisalat Co. – Mobily, the second largest and the fastest growing mobile operator in Middle East and Africa region. Neyaz has more than 19 years of experience in Business Continuity, Risk Management, Information Security and IT Service Level Management.
Winner: PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)

Presenter: Gary Villeneuve, MBCP – Director of Education of DRI International

PwC Malaysia is part of a global network of firms with over 180,000 people across 157 countries. PwC has a dedicated BCM team which has been providing BCM services to more than 50 organisations in Malaysia and South East Asia over the past 13 years. They have actively promote BCM among organisations and the community in Malaysia by organising BCM luncheons and speaking in a variety of seminars and conferences.

Awards Recipients – Bernard Lee, CBCP & Team

Maxis BCP focuses on managing operational risks that threaten their ability to sustain their business namely the mobile, broadband, fixed line and international gateway services
Winner: Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB)

Awards Recipients – Zalina Jaflus, CBCP & Team

MAHB, the national airport of the country which has a structured BCM Programme is spearheaded by the Risk Management Division (RMD) which is helmed by Zalina Jaflus since 2006. MAHB’s BCM Programme adopts DRII’s 10 Professional Practices, has proven the success of the AOD KLIA2 in May 2014.
