Dr. Shasheela Devi Karuppiah has more than 17 years’ experience in utility industry and multiple domains of ICT inclusive of Telecommunication, Systems and Applications, Information Technology (IT), Operational Technology (OT) with high expertise in functional, strategy, governance and management.

She obtained her PhD (Management) from Multimedia University, Malaysia. She has a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Entrepreneurship and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) (Computer), Computer Science with First Class Honors from University of Technology Malaysia (UTM).

Besides titles above, she has earned many professional certifications. Some of her professional certifications are Project Management Professional – PMP (Project Management Institute), Certified Business Continuity Professional – CBCP (Disaster Recovery Institute International), ITIL4 and COBIT2019. Her current research interests are project management, communication management and business continuity management.

She was honored with 2 prestigious awards at the DRI KL2021 – Regional BCM & Cyber Resilience Virtual Conference & Award of Excellence held by Disaster Recovery Institute (DRI). She was awarded the Best BCM Program Leader of the Year 2020. Her team was recognized and honored with the Best BCM Organization of the Year 2020 award for TNB.

Last but not least, she is also appointed as an Industry Advisory Panel member for Bachelor of Information Technology (Information Systems), University Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN).

She has almost 20 years of working experience in various fields which includes Quality Management, Operational Risk Management (ORM), BCM and Crisis Management, and Outsourcing Risk & Governance. Currently responsible for leading the BCM and Outsourcing Governance for Etiqa Insurance & Takaful Bhd; an Insurance arm of Maybank Group.

She started her career as an Internal Quality Auditor in ISO 9001:2000 for Mayban Life Insurance Bhd where she was responsible in ensuring the maintenance of the organization’s Quality Standards based on the ISO certification requirements. Then she has moved to Risk Management within the same organization as a specialist in Risk Mitigation with key focus on BCM and Crisis Management where she played a key supporting role in the establishment of a full fledge BCM program for Etiqa in 2007.

In 2011, she eventually moved to Group Operational Risk in Ambank (M) Bhd as an Assistant Manager in Crisis Management & Projects where she was responsible for the development and implementation of the BCM program for the Group including its’ subsidiaries as well as Regional Offices. She was then promoted to Manager in 2013 during which she played a key role as the Project Manager in the establishment of the BCM end-to-end program for Ambank Group subsidiary in Indonesia and Singapore. She was promoted to Senior Manager in 2014 and eventually moved to a new role in Operational Risk Governance & Assurance. In 2016, she moved to a new organization, Malaysian Industrial Development Finance (MIDF) BHD in Quality Management where she was responsible for driving the improvement projects using Lean Tools & methodologies. She was then eventually given an opportunity by her former employer to re-join Etiqa in 2017 to lead and drive the BCM & Crisis Management for Etiqa.

Victor has seventeen-years’ experience in corporate security and physical security in global security risk management. Currently Victor is responsible for the Asia Pacific region where he plans, directs, and manages the physical security and business continuity program and initiatives that assure and enhance the security and safety of Cummins’ employees and physical assets. Victor also has substantial expertise in crisis management, supply chain security, business continuity, investigations, manufacturing, and travel security.

Prior to joining Cummins, Victor has held various security leadership roles, most recently as Regional Security Senior Manager (APJ) at Dell where he excelled at managing the development, planning, and implementation of company industrial security programs. In addition, Victor also served as the Corporate Social Responsibility Ambassador for Dell Malaysia.

Victor is a graduate of the University of Science Malaysia and he holds professional designations as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) from ASIS International, Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) and Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) from DRI International. Victor has completed the Next Generation Security Leader Program by Security Executive Council. Also, he has attended the Cranfield Dedicated Global CEO Programme by Cranfield University (School of Management), England and completed the Professional Certification in Human Resources by Australian Human Resource Institute (AHRI).

Currently, Victor is serving as the Chairman for ASIS International Malaysia Chapter. He is also a country council steering committee member of the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) for Malaysia. He also serves as the Assistant Secretary for the Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) Penang chapter.
